No Gym, No Problem

Despite the juggling act of family obligations, work, trips, and vacations, finding time for the gym can be a challenge. However, one positive we've learned from COVID is that working out at home is not just a viable option, but a convenient and empowering one to maintain a fitness regime if you can't get to the gym.

Exercise and fitness activities are not just about staying physically active. They offer a multitude of personal benefits, allowing you to reset your mind and body at the beginning, middle, and end of your day. This should inspire and motivate you to make fitness a part of your daily routine.

Now, you may be thinking that to get a good workout in, you need all the equipment in the gym to get the full benefit of your fitness regime. But that's not the case. You can get a great workout with just a few key pieces of affordable equipment.

  • Resistance Bands

  • Jump Rope

  • TRX or Suspension Trainers

  • Exercise Ball or Swiss Ball

  • Sliders or Disc

Not only are these pieces of equipment affordable, but they can easily stored away at home without taking up much space and can be taken with you on your travels. Workouts for these pieces of equipment can be found through exercise apps and social media.

If you one that enjoys being outdoors and being part of sports clubs, Here is a list of 10 activities that can help you stay fit and physically active:

  • Swimming

  • Park Workout or Body Weight Exercise

  • Walking

  • Running

  • Hiking

  • Stand-up Paddle Boarding

  • Cycling

  • Hiking

  • Dancing

  • Recreational Sports

Remember, you don't need all the equipment a gym has to offer to get a workout. If you can't make it to the gym, the only thing stopping you is your motivation. A body in motion stays in motion, and any form of exercise or physical activity has long-term benefits for physical and mental well-being.
