DB Pirates Senior Rugby

Many who watch rugby, describe it as a sport with huge collisions, lots of speed and power, and played by highly skilled players.

But there is more to rugby than huge collisions and skills. Rugby is a sport for everyone.

No matter your size, shape, or experience level or age, there is a spot for every player.

When people think of th DB Pirates Rugby, the first that comes to mind is mini and youth rugby, not many think of Senior Men's Rugby.

Led by DB Pirates Head of Rugby Simon, Captain Taka, and Team Manager Justin.

The DB Pirates Senior men's team is made up of players from all over the world and the DB community.

Many players on the team see it as a chance to continue their youthfulness, make new, friends, keep fit, opportunity to learn a new sport or that front rower who is just looking for that opportunity to play 10.

For most Seniors involved the, DB Pirates Rugby forms a big part of their lives as most are volunteer coaches for their sons or daughters mini and youth rugby team.

So there is a true investment in the club and represents the true essence of the Discovery Bay community.

Training takes place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 8:00pm - 9:00pm and matches on Saturday afternoon

The DB Senior Men's team is built on Brotherhood and Family. Kids and wives attend all games and are the biggest supporters.

There's no better feeling than your son or daughter giving you a high five after a hard-fought game.

Due to the Covid, we have lost many good people and players but as we always say ONCE PIRATE, ALWAYS A PIRATE.

It's great to see those that left keep in touch, follow our games and add words of encouragement.

This season the DB Pirates Seniors will play in Community League 3 and kick off their season Saturday 15 October against Kowloon Beavers at So Kon Po Sports Ground - 1:30pm

Come down and show your support. We looking forward to a great season, and who knows you too may don the Green and Black Jersey.
