Knowledge Is Power

Updated: May 7

I was going through a set of coaching books and came across the first coaching book I bought, Coaching Swimming Successfully, written by legendary American Swim Coach Dick Hannula.

The book is excellent for any young swim coach, starting their coaching career.

Its an easy ready, with examples of training plans, tips to building your coaching foundation and philosophy and stroke drills for all all strokes, some of which I still use today.

As my career progressed a coach, my library grew, with more books and DVDs, that helped me become a better coach.

Expanding my knowldge, allowed me to better my athletes, establish credibility and understand the latest methods and technique used in coaching.

But as society has progressed over the years, information had become readly available for everyone through social media platforms.

Today athletes and parents have access to information at their finger tips and it's important more than ever that coaches stay ahead of the curb.

Just has athletes and parents have information readly available so do coaches.

Take the opportunity to use social media to help you continue to grow by creating a communityconnecting
